In the SNNP carried out field scientific trips to study argali, kulan and gazelles (senior research assistant Tashibaev E.) and rare, endangered birds of the SNNP (junior researcher Abaev. A).

The mountain, foothill, desert and floodplain parts of the national park were examined. The focus was on studying age and gender composition of kulans, herd, placement and completion rut. Due to the high summer temperature, the condition was also examined of ungulates watering places.The state of rare bird populations was assessed in post-nesting period.
